Philosophy:
At Boston House College we understand
that individuals do not all learn in the same way. Also,
that our students have goals in life that are unique to
them.
BHC provides a supportive environment
that allows students to reach their full potential. At
BHC achieving your best is made possible through small
classes and individual tuition.
About us
Boston
House College offers quality education in Grades 10, 11
and 12 to students who wish to be appreciated for the
individuals they are. Registered with the Western Cape
Education Department (Registration No 15/101/4/73) we
pride ourselves on proactively implementing the positive
changes taking place in South African education. The
College is
centrally situated in a quiet area of the
city of Cape Town and easily accessible from the railway
station, bus and taxi routes.
Students who opt to
attend College are treated as young adults. They learn
to act as independent beings who are expected to
maintain an appropriate and responsible standard of
conduct. The college environment reflects the world
outside where discipline is self-imposed.
At Boston House, everything we do is
underpinned by our values. These are Respect, Teamwork,
Confidence, Solution Seeking, Clarity, Authenticity and
Integrity, and a Realistic Approach.

Academic
At BHC
we believe
that students feel more confident in a motivated,
nurturing, and structured environment of small classes
in which personal attention is the norm. Each student is
encouraged to achieve their best, and the general
outcome is that their results improve.
There
are no "invisible students" at BHC and we provide
individual attention to both top candidates as well as
the less academically inclined in such a way that
students achieve their best. Regular assessment and
reporting allow performance to be monitored and problems
to be quickly addressed.
WHO WILL BENEFIT FROM BHC?
Students who:
-
Thrive where teaching is personalised in small
classes.
-
Have outgrown or feel stifled at their present
schools.
-
Desire a more mature environment in which people are
respected for who they are.
-
May not be achieving their full academic potential.
Enrolment
Admission to the College is by interview with the
Principal, Leon Linz.
At the interview students are requested to provide
details of their academic background and their most
recent examination results. It is preferable that
students register well in advance of the new academic
year so as to ensure that their particular subject
choice may be accommodated.
Accommodation
The
College can assist out of town students to find suitable
lodging in private homes. Please contact us for more
information.
