About us
The Girls' Prep caters for
learners from Grade 3 to Grade 7. We have 3 classes per
Grade and a wealth of qualified, enthusiastic staff
members. We are privileged to be on such a beautiful
campus. The Girls' Prep was founded in 1995 by Mrs Anne
van Zyl and we have had an incredible launch into the
21st Century.
We adhere to our Saints Honour - which reads: Honour
God, Honour Others and Honour Self. Our school motto is
One and All.
We follow the National Curriculum of South Africa and
include all critical outcomes as an integral part of our
planning.
CLASS PAGES
At St Stithians Girls' Prep, we strive to create girls
who are equipped to cope with the demands of the 21st
Century. We develop critical thinkers, who are caring
and responsible. Please click on the various Grade
classes, to get a better feel of what we are doing in
the classroom.
We offer a wide range of subjects, including English,
Information Technology, Mathematics, Design and
Technology, Sotho, Zulu, Afrikaans, EMS (Economic
Management Sciences), Natural Science, Religious
Education, Music, Art and Life Orientation which are
integrated throughout the day. Co-operative learning is
one of the important skills that stimulate effective
learning; therefore group work makes up a large
component of our lessons and tasks.
We follow the National Curriculum of South Africa and

planning.
FACILITIES
At St Stithians, we have access to the most incredible
facilities. We have an outstanding Aquatics Centre, huge
sports fields, tennis courts and netball courts, a
Hockey Astro, squash courts and cross country track.
We also have a very well-stocked Resource Centre. Our
computer centre is one of the busiest hubs in the school
and much learning takes place there.
