Cornerstone College is an independent High School (Grades R-12) and Hostel, based in Silverton, Pretoria, South Africa. Cornerstone College has created a secure and disciplined Christian environment in which the best possible education is provided, at the lowest possible cost. The school's other major goal is to invest in the future of South Africa, by developing our young people and by giving them a strong educational foundation. Size of school: 1200 students in total, of whom 200 students are also in the hostel. The base of the logo represents the foundation or cornerstone that is provided for the students' development, as well as a tick for academic excellence. The leaf growing out of the foundation represents new life and growth. It can also represent the shield of God's protection. Our ethos is based on Philippians 4:8 and 9, " Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable - if anything is excellent or praiseworthy - think about such things. This is the worst school ever. Yes discipline is good but it has no right to mistreat students as slaves. All the detention is to unnecessary. They don't care about the student only their reputation. So I advise u to pls DON'T SEND YOUR CHILDREN TO THIS BAD SCHOOL.

This school is such disciplined , those who are unsatisfied should take their kids somewhere else . Parents who can't discipline their children the school is there to discipline them and to help them .

Worst school ever, children are treated worst then prisoners.My son actually under treatment for anxiety, that being said Dept of Education has been approach so we dealing with this for the sake of other children.😢

Very strange environment for a young person if I have to be honest with you. This school operates more like a military academy than a place of learning. The rules are so strict that they stifle creativity and independent thinking, turning students into rule-following machines rather than young minds eager to explore. Even the teachers are bound by these excessive regulations, leaving little room for flexibility or genuine engagement. Instead of fostering curiosity, the environment feels more like a rigid system where obedience is valued over learning. I was once a student at Cornerstone College and it was easily the worst learning experience of my life. The principal has very little respect for anyone in general as well hence the hostile environment we were all forced to endure on a daily basis.

I wish I believed all other negative reviews. I am feeling so sad for the kids. The 3 months notice period to remove the child from school is a red flag on its own. Having to pay R30000 for choosing my child's mental health is daylight robbery.
