At Ruimsig we aim to develop a responsible individual, who can confidently approach any challenge within the Cambridge Curriculum and the society. This is easily achieved in our small loving environment, globally valued curriculum, and extra-curricular activities. The Cambridge Pathway gives students a clear path for educational success. We shape its curriculum around how our students learn - with a wide range of subjects and flexible ways to offer them. The Cambridge Pathway helps students discover new abilities and a wider world, and gives them the skills they need for life, so they can achieve at school, university and work. We are a Christian school primarily, where our children have access to Christian based leadership and education. Cambridge Pathway is for students aged 5 to 19. Its wide range of subjects and flexibility gives schools the chance to shape the curriculum so that it is exciting and relevant for their own students. Cambridge Pathway students have the chance to acquire the knowledge and skills they need to achieve at school, university and beyond. The four stages lead seamlessly from primary to secondary and pre-university years. Each stage – Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge Upper secondary and Cambridge Advanced – builds on the learners’ development from the previous one, but can also be offered separately. Five elements lie at the heart of a Cambridge education: international curriculum, teaching and learning, assessment, international recognition and global community.

My child started Grade 1 this year. I regret my decision to place him at this school. We are moving end of term 1. My rating is based as follows: 1 Star for his Teacher. She was the main reason we joined the school. 0 Star for Management and Leadership. 0 Star for Basic facilities, administration and hygiene. 0 Star for Effective communication. 0 Star for Compassion and understanding.

My family joined the school in September 2023. My grade 5 daughter always pushes herself hard, however, her school marks were moderate and I have always accepted her as a moderate performer. She is artistic (she can draw) and I felt as a parent, I should support and nurture that talent. After joining Ruimsig Academy I saw a sudden shift in her marks and all of a sudden she is a top notch performer. I am proud and very impressed with the new her. My gratitude goes to all the Teachers who puts in the hard work to ensure that all the students are on board and understand what is expected of them.

RA is a lovely Christian school with a friendly environment, you will feel there as a part of family and all of it is for an acceptable price. It is a Cambridge school with smaller classes size that ensures great involvement between child and teacher. The School is balancing high quality Academic education with enthusiasm for sport, art, projects, outings and school concerts. All teachers take a really good care of students and work professionally. My son has already been at RA for 5 years, my daughter for 3 years. They both love the school, they are always happy to go there, feel confident and found friends easily. They don’t want to leave the school at all. We are very happy with the choice of RA for our 2 kids.

Small, attentive, wonderful teachers. There is a sense of belonging and family. Christian values are taught. I would recommend this school especially if your little one is sensitive. Only one downfall...they only offer Afrikaans as an additional language.
